Market Development Manager, Nordics

Join us as we strengthen our Nordics business team! We’re looking for a Market Development Manager, Nordics to help drive growth and partnerships across the region.
Ideally, you’re based in Denmark, Norway, or Sweden and ready to embark on an exciting journey with IQM Quantum Computers — building the quantum future together.
In this role, your primary objective is to build and grow IQM revenues by effectively selling the IQM portfolio to various sectors including HPCs, universities, research centers, government entities, and enterprises. Your role encompasses a range of responsibilities aimed at driving sales, influencing tenders, shaping offers, and winning deals while meeting stakeholders' and client's expectations.
What will I be doing?
- Identify and pursue leads, consistently meeting or surpassing sales targets, revenue goals, and profit margins.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy to promote IQM's portfolio within target sectors, driving engagement and awareness.
- Establish IQM as a prominent industry player by engaging with stakeholders, including political decision-makers, and advocating for recognition as a vital contributor to the national quantum strategy.
- Influence tenders and negotiate contracts effectively to secure lucrative deals for the organization.
- Act as a client guide, helping, addressing inquiries, and navigating IQM products and services. Stay attuned to market trends, providing optimal solutions and incorporating client feedback for continual improvement.
- Contribute insights to shape IQM's product offerings based on customer feedback and market trends, facilitating strategic decision-making.
- Collaborate seamlessly with internal teams, including product development and marketing, to align with customer needs and market demands effectively.
- Represent IQM at marketing events, conferences, and industry exhibitions, showcasing the company's innovative offerings.
What background and skills should I have?
- Based in the either Sweden, Norway or Denmark and well connected in the local ecosystem.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Sales and Account Management in the ITC industry- with expertise in hardware, software, telecommunications, storage, and applications. Preferably, with a focus on High performance computing and/or data center space.
- Knowledge of the Quantum computing ecosystem.
- Proven track record in developing business in the tech industry, understanding technology trends, and driving innovation.
- Experience with sales, account management, public tenders, public funding, and project management.
- Ideally, should have a personal network with HPC and enterprise customers, research, and education institutions.
- Proficient in English and local languages.
- A good communicator, customer-oriented mindset, ability to engage at the decision-maker and working level, with strong conceptual abilities and focus on results.
- Natural drive, possessing a self-driven, can-do attitude, ambitious, and entrepreneurial mindset.
- Willingness to travel as needed, primarily across the Nordic region.
Skills and Experiences that can boost your application
- Experience working in the Quantum computing Ecosystem.
- Industry-recognized data center-related certification is an advantage (e.g., CDCS, DC-certified professional, ITIL, DC specialist, etc.).
- Bachelors or Master's Degree in Physics, Math, Electrical Engineering, Computer Sciences, Business or similar.
