Senior Manager, Strategy
IQM is a global leader in designing, building, and selling superconducting quantum computers. IQM provides both on-premises full-stack quantum computers and a cloud platform to access its computers anywhere in the world. IQM customers include the leading high-performance computing centres, research labs, universities and enterprises which have full access to IQM's software and hardware. IQM has over 300 employees with offices in Finland, Germany, France, Spain, Poland, Italy, Singapore, South Korea, Japan and the US.
We’re looking for a Senior Manager, Strategy to help shape the trajectory of one of the world’s most ambitious quantum companies.
This is not a “deck factory” role. You’ll be embedded at the core of our decision-making — working closely with our executive team to chart IQM’s long-term direction, assess new market plays, lead strategic initiatives, and support high-stakes partnerships, capital markets activity, and M&A.
You’ll be part of a tight-knit, high-impact strategy function that combines rigorous analysis with bold thinking, and a strong bias for action. This is an individual contributor role with executive-level visibility and the opportunity to drive initiatives that truly move the needle.
What will I be doing?
- Lead IQM’s strategic planning process - identify growth levers, challenge assumptions, and turn insights into action
- Drive corporate development work: from sourcing partnerships and M&A targets to running diligence, shaping deal structures, and managing integrations
- Partner with leadership on strategic projects that cut across product, commercial, and R&D
- Support capital markets and investor relation efforts - develop narratives, prep materials, and engage with key external stakeholders
- Serve as a trusted thought partner to IQM’s leadership, helping to align teams and catalyse strategic change
What skills do I need?
- 7–10 years of experience in strategy, M&A, investment banking, VC/PE, or top-tier consulting
- Proven ability to solve complex problems, synthesize ambiguity, and influence senior stakeholders
- Hands-on experience in corporate transactions and investor-facing strategy
- Deep tech exposure (quantum, HPC, semiconductors, or adjacent verticals) is a strong plus
- Curiosity, grit, and a willingness to dive deep into unfamiliar terrain
What can I expect from IQM?
- Be part of a team that's pioneering practical quantum computing with real-world impact
- Join a diverse, passionate group of people who care about the mission and each other
- Work in a fast-moving, low-ego environment where your ideas (and execution) matter
- Grow with us: as we scale globally, so will your role, responsibilities, and opportunities
