First Line IT Specialist
IQM is a global leader in designing, building, and selling superconducting quantum computers. IQM provides both on-premises full-stack quantum computers and a cloud platform to access its computers anywhere in the world. IQM customers include the leading high-performance computing centres, research labs, universities and enterprises which have full access to IQM's software and hardware. IQM has over 280 employees with offices in Finland, Germany, France, Spain, Poland, Singapore and the US.
We are seeking a dedicated First Line IT Specialist to join our global IT team in Munich. This role requires full-time onsite presence to effectively support our internal users and ensure seamless operation of our IT systems.
What will I be doing?
- Be the first point of contact for IT support at the Munich office while actively collaborating with IT teams across global IQM locations.
- Set up end-user devices and onboard new employees to IT tools and services.
- Resolve or escalate IT service requests in line with internal SLAs.
- Maintain inventory of IT assets and ensure availability of hardware.
- Collaborate with second-line support and other IT functions.
- Improve documentation and customer-facing IT support materials.
- Participate in internal support development projects.
What skills do I need?
- Experience in hands-on IT support (min. 1 year).
- Strong understanding of general IT systems and service processes.
- Collaborative and service-minded attitude.
- Fluent written and spoken English.
- Awareness of information security and business continuity principles.
- Experience in multicultural environments
