Data Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer with an analytical and business-oriented mindset. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in implementing data solutions that produce impactful insights, driving best practices around Data Quality and Data Governance. You will collaborate closely with various teams to maintain and develop our data infrastructure, supporting key organizational goals and objectives.
What will I be doing?
- Data Pipelines: Build and maintain efficient data pipelines for our data services.
- Data Modelling & Architecture: Develop and document data models and architecture for future scalability and efficiency.
- Data Quality & Timeliness: Ensure our data warehouse is updated with timely and quality data.
- Software Development: Write maintainable, high-performance code.
- Analytical Tools Development: Support and develop analytical tools (e.g., Tableau, Streamlit) to provide actionable insights.
- Continuous Improvement: Plan and implement improvements to support organizational objectives and OKRs.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work with various teams to address data needs and requirements.
What skills do I need
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a related field.
- Strong background in a data-intensive discipline such as Computer Science, Statistics, Economics, Physics, Mathematics, or Operations Research.
- 2+ years of hands-on experience deploying production-quality code.
- Professional experience in building data pipelines, preferably using Python
- Strong understanding of SQL, data warehouses (e.g., Postgres), and ETL/ELT best practices.
- Experience with data pipeline tools and orchestration frameworks (e.g. Airflow or Dagster)
- Proven skills in data modeling and building scalable data architectures.
- Ability to work independently and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Eagerness to stay updated with advancements in data engineering.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills for effective teamwork.
- Capacity to provide knowledge sharing and advice on best practices in data.
