Quantum System Implementation Technician

We are seeking a practical, detail oriented Quantum System Implementation Technician to support our R&D department with the implementation and validation of new hardware designs. In this role, you will assemble prototypes developed by the engineering team, perform characterization and testing of transmission lines, and support small technical projects from planning through execution. You will collaborate closely with designers, project leaders, and manufacturing teams to ensure high-quality builds and reliable performance across all prototypes and test setups.
What will I be doing?
- Assist in commissioning, operation, and maintenance of cryogenic systems (e.g., dilution refrigerators).
- Perform routine cooldowns, system monitoring, and preventive maintenance.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized laboratory environment in accordance with quality and safety standards.
- Identify and report issues, contributing to continuous improvement of lab operations.
- Installing and testing cryogenic and room-temperature wiring.
- Work efficiently in small spaces while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Assist in developing and improving laboratory practices and technical documentation.
- Provide feedback for process optimization and prototype assembly improvements.
What skills do I need?
- Basic knowledge of attenuation, amplification, and coaxial line principles.
- Strong hands-on skills for wiring, assembly, and mechanical prototyping.
- Experience with VNA testing (preferred but not required).
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work comfortably in small spaces during the installations.
- Proactive mindset and excellent cross-team collaboration skills.
