North America Country Manager - New Region Business Development
IQM is the European leader in superconducting quantum computers, established in Espoo, Finland. In two years, we have grown to 250+ employees and have established subsidiaries in Germany, Spain, France and Singapore. We build quantum computers for research laboratories and supercomputing centers. For industrial customers, we deliver quantum advantage through our unique application-specific co-design approach.

We are looking for a Country Manager to strengthen our team and develop a new business region! The Country Manager will be responsible for leading the launch of our business operations and selling quantum computers in North America. Priorities will include driving revenue growth, managing a diverse network and building a high-performance team. This is a key leadership role that requires excellent sales, business development and team management skills.
The role will report to the Chief Business Officer and be based in the US.
What will I be doing?
- Work closely with various IQM teams to create a region-specific go-to-market strategy and growth plan
- Identify and drive business development opportunities in the region to drive revenue growth
- Win customers for IQM and sell quantum computers
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, partners, and government officials; connecting with and influencing decision makers
- Build and lead a high-performing sales operation; creating value proposition for sales cases and building customer relations
- Be the face of IQM North America towards investors, industry participants and potential customers; representing the company in public forums, conferences and events
- Be the owner of country manager responsibilities towards local authorities and IQM headquarters
- Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify potential threats and opportunities
- Provide regular updates and reports to senior management on the progress of business operations in the region
- Ensure compliance with local regulations and laws
- Be a culture carrier and Ambassador for the company’s values
What skills do I need?
- You have Quantum computing-related knowledge, with a passion for physics and engineering
- You have a proven track record, with 6+ years in sales leadership role with deep experience in business development and sales
- You bring a wide and balanced network in the computing field; across HPCs, Research Institutes, Academic- and Government Institutions
- You are an excellent communicator with natural leadership and people skills
- You are ambitious and hungry, with a strong will to win
- You have strong strategic, analytical and critical thinking skills
- You are entrepreneurial and enjoy the challenge of creating something from nothing
- You have excellent verbal and written skills in English
- You are eligible for a US security clearance
